What We Do:

We specialize in providing (weekends and holidays only) instructional tandem paragliding flights within the San Francisco Bay Area. The cost to go through our "Tandem Instructional Flight" program (i.e., preparation packet, briefing and flight) starts at $200. Discounts are available, see right hand column for specifics. Note, we are the only Bay Area tandem company that has a helmet intercom system between the pilot instructor and student passenger. We, also, have a helmet cam to take a short "YouTube" video of your flight.

Our Tandem Instructor, Craig Gamma, has over 30 years within the Fire Department workforce and life safety is always the prime focus. Tandem Instructional Flight Policies:

• Tandem packets and briefings must be paid in advance (PayPal via M/C or Visa).
• All tandem packet and briefing sales are final, no cash refunds. However, under the discretion of the owner, we may have "PayPal" credit back a "Partial" or the "Full" purchase price to the original purchaser's credit card.
• "Partial" or "Full" refund conditions: It's within 60 days of purchased date and; no flight apt. made yet or it was cancelled with at least 48 hours notice or bad weather prevented a scheduled flight.
• Tandem briefing and flight must be used within one year of purchase date; after that they expire.
• Tandem briefings and flights are by reservation only.
• Payment must be received to confirm a reservation.
• Tandem briefings and flights may be cancelled with no penalty with 24 or more hours' notice.
• Penalty for cancelling with less than 24 hours notice will be $60 for each person.
• No-Shows will be charged $60 for each person and forfeit their flight. Note being late to a scheduled appointment by more than 15-minutes may be considered a "no show".
• *Bad weather option. Tandem flight appointments that have been cancelled due to weather may be re-scheduled as many times as necessary, within the 30-day membership period, until success is achieved.
• Lessons/flights cancelled due to weather will be rescheduled at no extra charge.  
• All students will be required to sign a release of liability prior to taking the tandem briefing and flight.   
• Participants must be in reasonable physical condition and sign an affidavit attesting to the fact.
• Maximum tandem student weight is 250 lbs. or 113.4 kg.
• There are absolutely no smoking or dogs allowed at the flying sites.
• Students shall wear long pants; wear long sleeves; wear light hiking boots or shoes with ankle support; bring a light lunch/snack, water and sunscreen.

Tandem Discounts :

Discounts are based upon the amount of people within your group:

1 person = $200 minimum, for about 15 and up to 30 minutes; and $2.67 for each minute thereafter (i.e., 60 minutes = $280).

2 persons = $180 each-minimum, for about 15 and up to 30 minutes; and $2.50 for each minute thereafter (i.e., 60 minutes = $255 each).

3 persons = $170 each-minimum, for about 15 and up to 30 minutes; and $2.34 for each minute thereafter (i.e., 60 minutes = $240 each).

4+ persons = $160 each-minimum, for about 15 and up to 30 minutes; and $2 for each minute thereafter (i.e., 60 minutes = $220 each).

If weather conditions prevent a scheduled flight..., clients, at no extra charge, may re-schedule as many times as necessary, within the 30-day membership period, until success is achieved.

Flight Time:

The amount of time we can stay up in the sky all depends upon the weather conditions. On very rare occasions we can stay up for a couple of hours, however, for the most part this is not the norm. There is just no guaranteed flight time that any pilot instructor can truly give. However, from a mountain top site, flight times have been averaging about 15-30 minutes. Keep in mind, this is usually longer than what a skydiving adventure can offer and with no age restrictions. Note though, we do constantly seek thermal and/or ridge lift in order to extend flights as much as possible. Our base pricing includes flights from about 15 to 30 minutes in duration. Of course, when weather conditions permit longer than 30 minute flights, our flight times will not go beyond your financial abilities or desires.
